Stan Harris, Ph.D. (Organizational Psychology, The University of Michigan) is a leadership and change management consultant, trainer, and speaker. He works with diverse organizations to help evaluate and create effective strategies and plan, implement, and manage change. Stan is also a highly engaging instructor and workshop leader on topics including change management, organizational culture, effective teamwork, motivation, conflict management and negotiation, and communicating effectively. Stan works with clients to tailor efforts to their specific needs and circumstances. Through his consulting, strategic facilitation, and training activities, Stan has assisted in the leadership development and change efforts of diverse organizations in the U.S. and abroad including Whirlpool, Bonnie Plants, Amdahl IT Services, UCB, Regions Bank, AuburnBank, MacMillan Bloedel, ATS Light Alloy Wheels, and Sony Magnetic Products. His healthcare clients have included McKesson, Envision Physician Services, Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, Baptist Health, East Alabama Medical Center, South Central Regional Medical Center, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Southern Medical Association, Anesthesia Associates, and Resurgens Orthopaedics.

 

 

Stan served on the faculty in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University for 36 years and was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus of Management in 2022. He is an award-winning teacher and taught leadership and management to over 15,000 students during his Auburn career. He continues to teach the “Organizational Leadership & Change” course to all incoming executive and physicians executive MBA students. Stan is an accomplished change management, leadership, and organizational culture scholar. In particular, he is a noted expert on creating readiness for change. Prior to his retirement from Auburn, Stan served over 8 years as Associate Dean for Graduate and International Programs where he provided leadership for Harbert’s highly ranked fulltime, online, executive, and physicians executive MBA programs and specialized masters and graduate certificate programs. Prior to becoming Associate Dean, Stan directed Auburn’s Physicians Executive MBA program for 12 years and the PhD program in Management for 17. In recognition of his leadership in teaching, research, and outreach, Stan was named the Harbert College’s 2018 “Best All-Around Faculty Member.”
